Arizona Cooking Schools

Arizona is blessed with abundant sunshine and spectacular natural beauty. But many residents know the best secret about Arizona – there is no better place to eat in America than the Grand Canyon State.

Arizona chefs are famous for their Southwestern cuisine, a regional combination of Mexican spices, mesquite flame-broiling and unusual meat-and-fruit pairings. Most good restaurants will serve at least a few Southwestern-influenced choices, and you'd be foolish to pass them up. The inventive fresh-fruit salsas are often very good.

And what would a trip to the Old West be without steak? Hearty helpings of beef are best found in the locally owned steak houses. Of course, Arizona cooks up some of the best Mexican food in the country with the fried chimichanga being a local favorite. In the Tucson and Phoenix areas, you'll find fine French, Mediterranean and Asian restaurants, as well.
